Training & Placement
Shankarrao Dhawad Polytechnic has organized campus recruitment for renowned, prestigious & esteemed organization. “Reliance Communication Ltd" of Anil Ambani group for final year Electronics & Tele communication student on 15th March 2007. Nine Final year student of Electronics & Telecommunication branch of Shankarrao Dhawad Polytechnic has been selected from all different Polytechnic. The recruitment packages were 1.2 lacs / annum for 1st year and 1.8 lacs /annum for second year. All the student have joined on 1st June 2007.

The department of Training and Placement conducted campus interview for final year students of Electronics & Telecommunication, Information Technology & Computer Technology on 25/10/07 for Computer Science Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. Noida, Utter Pradesh, which is a 15 billion dollar company and it deliveries services in more than 50 countries . The company selected 19 students with salary 1.68 lacs per annum plus other perks. 210 students for other colleges in Vidarbha appeared for the test & interview at Shankarrao Dhawad Polytechnic.

The selection of the students are done on the basis of five tier system inclusive of

1. Aptitude test
2. Technical test
3. Communication skill test
4. Technical interview
5. HR interview

All these companies have selected our student on attractive package. 96% students were selected in 2006-07.


Sports
Shankarrao Dhawad Polytechnic became member of “Inter Engineering Diploma Students Association" –IEDSSA Maharashtra State w.e.f 2007-08. The college has been allotted for weight lifting & wresting zonal level. The polytechnic will be participating in following events

6. Volley ball & Basket ball
7. Carom & Chess

The college has various cells which continuously conduct different activities for the students as well as the staff. These activities are spread through out the year.
